After being open to the general public for the past week, we have found that social distancing was not being consistently maintained. Therefore, the Community Park Board has made the difficult decision based on the health, safety, and well-being of our patrons to restrict access to only local residents. Beginning today, Wednesday, July 8, the Zelienople Community Pool will be open to members and residents from the Zelienople, Harmony, Jackson, and Lancaster communities only. If you are a daily paying guest, proof of residency is required.
Also effective immediately, all patrons ages 2 and older are required to wear masks when entering, leaving, and moving around on the premises of the pool area. You will not need a mask while you are in the pool or while you are sitting socially distanced from everyone other than your family unit. This has been mandated from Governor Wolf. Failure to keep a mask on will result in you being asked to leave. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during these difficult and ever-changing times.
We will continue to have two sessions: 11:00-2:30 and 3:30-7:00. If you are a returning member, please use your cards from last year, otherwise replacement cards can be purchased for $5.00/person. If you are new, you will get your cards when you arrive, provided all of the information was completed with your registration. If you haven’t already done so, please send in a head shot of each of the members in your family. Remember to bring your own chairs, towels, or blankets to sit on as the loungers and adirondack chairs will not be available. The concession stand will not be open but feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Glass bottles, containers, and alcohol is prohibited. Everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Bathroom facilities are available but showers and changing areas are not. Most importantly, we ask that you be mindful of social distancing.
